I wrote this song during a good moment in an incredibly tough period of my life. I had just finished showering and was getting dressed when the melody for the pre-chorus and chorus came to me. Ten minutes later I had most of the song written. Elle Friberg
Power Suit is testament to the fact that difficult times can birth incredible moments. This is a song of encouragement. Not just blind encouragement though. In the song, Elle acknowledges the hardship she is face. She gives it words as if she is observer. However, she doesn’t stop there. She also remembers some of the best advice she has ever gotten in her life, “Don’t be phony, pretending, just look inward.” Those words spur her on to put on her armour and face the demons.
